Poundland has two more stores opening this weekend! The new stores, Connswater in Northern Ireland and Caerphilly in South Wales will be officially opening tomorrow, Thursday 26 November.
However there will be family fun days on Saturday 28 November at both stores. Connswater will have the comical Andy Whyment aka ‘Kirk’ to entertain customers, whilst Caerphilly will have the lovely Kate Anthony who plays ‘Auntie Pam’ to welcome you all into the store.
So what are you waiting for, if any of the stores are near you, the Coronation Street stars will be there from 10am to get the celebrations started.
If you have never been to a family fun day, then you must get down to the stores as they really are LOTS of fun. Not only is there an in-store DJ, there are also prizes to be won including £50′s worth of Poundland vouchers. Can you imagine winning – you would be able to buy 50 items or even more!
Do check out www.poundland.com and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be kept up to date with the new store openings.
The Coronation Street Updates blog is also a great place to go to find out when your favourite Corrie star will be next opening a Poundland store
I read the other day that Rolf Harris is releasing a Christmas single this year – how exciting! He has teaming up with Status Quo singer and guitarist Rick Parfitt. The single is released on 7 December – looking forward to hearing it!
Lastly, I just had to mention the discussion on Baby and Bump recently about buying perfume from Poundland. The lovely Mums-to-be have been discussing whether it is acceptable to buy the perfume from Poundland as Christmas presents for friends and family. The perfume is just like you will find in any other retailers, so if you don’t tell your family that their present is from Poundland, they will never know. It can be your secret…just think about the pennies you will be saving!
Poundland has just launched its very own make-up range – Chit Chat. The new make-up line is fantastic and offers products including lipgloss, mascara, foundation, nail varnish and eyeliner to name a few. Make-up can be very expensive, however Poudland is helping us to still look fabulous over the Christmas season by offering make-up for just £1 per item! You can afford to re-vamp your entire make-up bag at that price!
I know many of you will be thinking, ‘oh I can’t live without my branded make-up’ but do give Poundland’s Chit Chat range a go and I promise you, you will be amazed! I am an avid fan of the lipgloss and bronzer…
Fabsugar.co.uk is a great blog to keep up to date with what celebs are wearing and how they are applying their make-up – Fabsugar it would be great to hear your thoughts of Poundland’s Chit Chat range!
I just had to laugh today when I read the Daily Mail’s feature on the ‘I’m a celebrity’ stars not wearing make-up. It made me smile to see that Katie Price’s first entrance into the jungle was make-up free and now she has a full face on five years later! I don’t know what you fellow bloggers think, but I just cannot believe she has gone back into the jungle! It just doesn’t sit well with me, I mean what about her children…
Do send us your pictures if you have used the new Poundland make-up range – we would love to see the results!
How are you feeling about Christmas? Are you getting a bit stressed about getting everything ready in time? Coleen Nolan’s column in the Mirror this week was about ‘Being a slave to Christmas’. Coleen hit the nail on the head saying that us girls feel the strain and it seems the boys just breeze through the season enjoying every second. Well thanks to Coleen for suggesting ‘The Christmas Liberation Party’ and the idea to free women from the grind of the festive season and leave it down to the men. Us women can then sit back and party…I’m game!
I’m just going to have a moan about the worst Christmas present ever – can you believe the Good Gifts catalogue had a present where you can donate to the Treasury on behalf of the person you are giving the gift to? I mean, don’t they have enough of our money? My family and friends would be quite annoyed too if this was their gift. This type of present does not make me smile and I’m sure Santa wouldn’t approve!
For all readers that are getting a bit panicky about Christmas, do make sure you head down to Poundland. I promise you, you will be able to pick up all your preparation products in a one-stop-shop. Wrapping presents always adds to the nightmare but Poundland has a huge range this year for just £1 per item! You could literally get all your presents wrapped for £5…bargain.
Poundland is here to help this Christmas so do check out the website to find your nearest store.
We have got three fabulous Coronation Street stars to help out with the family fun days which are being held on Saturday 21 November. Antony Cotton who plays ‘Sean’ will be at Shepherds Bush, Kate Anthony who plays ‘Auntie Pam’ is going to be celebrating at the Banbridge store and Jennie McAlpine aka ‘Fizz’ is welcoming shoppers in Portadown. So if you are around this weekend, do come along and join in the fun!
I know I always mention the Coronation Street Updates blog but it really is the best place to go if you want to keep up to date with what the stars are up to. I just had to laugh when I read today’s blog post with David Platt in a tutu! Personally I don’t think he suits pink…
If you would like to know more information about Poundland’s new stores check out the Poundland website, Twitter or Facebook page.
Don’t forget the Corrie’s ‘Sean Tully’ look-a-like competition too! To celebrate the 250th store we are looking for a Sean Tully look-a-like. If you think you look like our lovely Antony aka ‘Sean’ make sure you get down to the Tooting store on Saturday 28 November. There are prizes to be won! The lucky winner you will win a swanky new TV and there is also a Camcorder and iPod up for grabs for the runners up.
