The shopes have all gone crazy today, with everyone getting their yummy food ready for Christmas. Im sure most of you will be having some parties over Christmas, I have all my family coming over on Christmas day, so i’ve made sure i’ve stocked up on all the party essentials. At Poundland we have everything you need from paper plates and cups, napkins, balloons and you can’t have a party without party poppers! All just £1 each!
We have plenty of food snacks too, KP Salted Peanuts, Walkers Crisps, boxed chocolates and you can pick up some Coca Cola too!
If you are looking for party food inspiration, you should check out Jamie Oliver’s favourite party food recipes… I’m thinking about giving the Baked Alaska Mince Pies a go!
Talking of all this food… are you worried about piling on the pounds this Christmas? The Telegraph has a few top tips about how to stay in shape. To be honest, I think I’m too late, I’ve already eaten tonnes of chocolate, mince pies, nuts, crisps…the list is endless. My least favourite tip has to be, ‘Wear tight clothes’. I’m sorry but if I’m feeling a bit of a Christmas bloat the LAST thing I want to do is wear tight clothes!
Only 3 more sleeps until Christmas day! I’m so excited. Are you a shopper who leaves their Christmas presents to the last minute or are you mega organised and have your Christmas shopping finished by October? Well I’m sorry to say, I am a last minute bargain hunter. It’s what working in Poundland HQ does to you. I still have a few stockings left to fill. Blog Suite101.com has a post around last minute stylish stocking gifts for women – these are great ideas, but have you seen the latest stocking fillers in Poundland? The value is pretty amazing!
Celebs love Poundland too! Have you seen a copy of this weeks OK! magazine?…Alex Gerrard says when she was little she was obsessed with toy tills, and she ‘always wanted to work in Poundland’ How exciting, im sure we could arrange a job if she wanted!
The Telegraph did give me an idea when it reported on the battle of the Christmas number one and how sweet little Joe was knocked off the top spot by Rage Against the Machine. It mentioned how ‘The Climb’ was more of a stocking filler compared to the machine’s album – what a great idea! If you are still looking for stocking fillers, especially for X Factor fans, the new single would be a great gift. Poundland also has a fab range of CDs for just £1 each, again ideal little somethings to stuff your stockings. It would be great to hear your thoughts on the Christmas number one results – I’m afraid I was on Team Joe.
I think the whole country has been affected by the frosty weather these past few days. I had to scrape the ice off my car this morning, luckily i’d already popped to my local Poundland store a couple of weeks ago and picked up some de-icer. Make sure you go to your local store and get all your winter car care, 600ml de-icer, anti-freeze, and Thinsulate ice-scraper – all just £1 each!
What car? Has a fantastic article for top tips on looking after your car in the winter. One thing I didn’t know was that “Even in winter you should run your air-conditioning for at least an hour a week. This allows the coolant in the system to lubricate all of the moving parts and prevents the build-up of elements which can corrode pipework”…air-conditioning on? Brrr…
You need to keep yourself warm too, at Poundland there is a fantastic range of winter clothing, perfect for these cold days. There are winter hats, soft touch scarfs, we even have ear muffs, I used to love those when I was young! …and don’t forget your mens and ladies thermal socks! £1 each!
Lastly I just had to comment on the ‘slanket’, did anyone see it in the news today? It’s a blanket with sleeves that is ideal for watching the telly – there was some fab stories on this today and it did make me chuckle! Anyone got a slanket on their Christmas list?
