Poundland just does not stop at the moment! We are opening another three stores on Thursday 19 November… Shepherds Bush, and a further two stores in Northern Ireland in Banbridge and Portadown.

We have got three fabulous Coronation Street stars to help out with the family fun days which are being held on Saturday 21 November. Antony Cotton who plays ‘Sean’ will be at Shepherds Bush, Kate Anthony who plays ‘Auntie Pam’ is going to be celebrating at the Banbridge store and Jennie McAlpine aka ‘Fizz’ is welcoming shoppers in Portadown. So if you are around this weekend, do come along and join in the fun!

I know I always mention the Coronation Street Updates blog but it really is the best place to go if you want to keep up to date with what the stars are up to. I just had to laugh when I read today’s blog post with David Platt in a tutu! Personally I don’t think he suits pink…

If you would like to know more information about Poundland’s new stores check out the Poundland website, Twitter or Facebook page.

Don’t forget the Corrie’s ‘Sean Tully’ look-a-like competition too! To celebrate the 250th store we are looking for a Sean Tully look-a-like. If you think you look like our lovely Antony aka ‘Sean’ make sure you get down to the Tooting store on Saturday 28 November. There are prizes to be won! The lucky winner you will win a swanky new TV and there is also a Camcorder and iPod up for grabs for the runners up.

If you are interested in entering the look-a-like competition or have a friend or family member you would like to nominate please email
