More exciting new Poundland stores opening this week – you can now find us in Newquay and Twickenham!  Our new store in Newquay will be opening on Thursday 11th March and to celebrate there will be a family fun day on Saturday 13th March.

DJ there from 9am – 3pm

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) will be there to officially open the store at 10.00am. He will be there until 1.00pm signing autographs, having pictures taken and giving away 50 x £1 Poundland vouchers

£50 of Poundland vouchers to be won in checkout challenge from 10.30am. You have to be at the till for the chance to win!

Loads of freebies to giveaway including 500 packs of Kodak AA batteries

We have some great news - a new store is opening in Andover!!

It is opening on Thursday 4th February and there will be lots going on to celebrate the launch! 

The family fun day will be on Saturday 6th February.  Here are some more details: 

• There will be a DJ and Entertainer at the store from 9am to 2pm.
• Coronation Street star Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) will be at the store from 10am until 1pm signing autographs and having pictures taken.
• He will also be giving away 50 x £1 Poundland Vouchers.
• £50 of Poundland vouchers can be won in checkout challenge.  The competition starts at 9.30am and there will be a voucher given away every half an hour until 2pm
• Loads of freebies including 500 packs of Kodak AA batteries.

There are now over 250 Poundland stores across the UK, including 8 stores in Northern Ireland and more and more people are discovering the hundreds of top brands we have for just £1! One of t hose people is Martin Lewis, the Money Saving Expert from GMTV! He has been heading into our store and is really impressed with all our genuine bargains!  Take a look at his blog to see what he said about his recent visit.  I’m sure now he has discovered Poundland he’ll be in the store all of the time, so keep your eyes peeled for him!

Martin Lewis isn’t the only celebrity you’ll find in Poundland, you’ll regularly see the Coronation Stars opening our new stores.   Anthony Cotton who plays Sean and Jenny McAlpine who plays Fiz have opened  lots of stores this year and  have a great time meeting all the customers and playing the checkout challenge game. Andy Whyment who plays Kirk and Katherine Kelly who plays Becky are also regular celebs you’ll see opening our stores, so look out on our website for a store opening near you for your chance to meet a Corrie Star! I can’t believe its Christmas day next week! I’m not ready at all and haven’t got all my presents yet. So I’ll be popping into my local Poundland store as there are so many great gift ideas. Take a look on our website for your last minute gifts!

I also need to get my tableware and decorations for Christmas day, we have really nice table runners and charger plates that I think I’ll be buying, the table will look beautiful!

Poundland has two new stores opening this weekend – yes TWO! These are Llanelli, Wales and Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

Are you a Corrie fan? We have got your favourite characters on board again to help us celebrate Poundland’s new store openings.

Actress Catherine Kelly who plays ‘Becky MacDonald’ will be getting the party started ay Llanelli on Saturday 31 October and Andy Whyment who plays ‘Kirk Sutherland’ will be opening the Lisburn store on Saturday 31 October. This is Poundland’s 2^nd store to open in Northern Ireland – exciting stuff!

 Have you ever been to a Poundland store opening? If not and you live near Llanelli or Lisburn , I would definitely check it out. There is a checkout challenge where you can win £50 and an in store DJ to make your Poundland experience even more exciting. The Coronation Street stars will also be handing out 50 £1 vouchers to shoppers that come through the doors. If you’re lucky you may even get the chance to have your picture taken with your favourite Corrie actors.
