Hello.  Can you believe the weekend is here already – this week seems to have gone so quickly her at Poundland HQ.

Now that Christmas is long gone, we need another occasion to look forward to – EASTER!!  This year we have a great range of Easter items coming in to stores from Monday so head down to your local Poundland to pick up a bargain.  If you want Easter confectionary, we have some great branded easter eggs, from High School Musical to Toy Story and The Simpsons.

Just after I have got over Christmas, I am now looking forward to over-splurdging on Chocolate at Easter!  At Poundland we have some great value for money offers on the kids favourite eggs and great Cadbury products that are in store in a few weeks.  We have High School Musical, Peppa Pig, Toy Story (new movie coming out June 18th – I am so excited, I love the whole series!), Ben 10 and loads more on 4 for £3!  They will keep the kids quite for a while at least and are great value for you!

Poundland really is bargain HEAVEN at the moment! There are so many fab brands in the Value range. I stumbled across madaboutbargains.co.uk today and realised Poundland was not on there – why not? I ask…well maybe one day….

Next time you pop into Poundland just have a quick look around and see how many top brands like Kellogs, Cadbury, VO5, Walkers and Kodak there are and at £1 offers amazing value. This weekend we see Cif Power Cream in the weekend special to highlight the great value it provides!

With the Cow Print Tools in stores, we at Poundland have all gone a bit DIY c-r-a-z-y. I have to say though, I’m not great at being a handyman, but I have sought advice from the Home DIY tips blog…pure genius! I have to admit that I love these tools as they have a funky pattern yet still functional and at just £1 per tool you can’t go wrong!

I am sure you have all heard the news that Poundland is opening more stores in Northern Ireland – if you are nearby, why don’t you come down and check out the family fun days.

The next family fun day will be for Castlecourt, Belfast on Saturday 10^th October 2009. The day will be packed full of activities including:

• Coronation Street star Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) to offically open the store, sign autographs and have pictures taken from 10am – 1pm

Every weekend Poundland pick a top, well known brand at an incredible £1 price. This week the weekend special is Cadbury’s 175g Giant Milk Chocolate Buttons which usually retail at £1.76 but is available at Poundland for just £1.

Whenever I think of Cadbury’s, I don’t automatically think of the Kraft deal news that is covering the papers at the moment, I still think of the immense Gorilla advert – check it out here. It makes me smile every time!

With new legislation from the Government saying retailers can no longer stock 100 watt lightbulbs has meant many people have rushed to the shops to buy existing stock.
