We would like to welcome the Castlecourt store to the Poundland family. The store based in Castlecourt, Belfast officially opened Saturday by Antony Cotton and was an instant success. This is the first Poundland store to open in Northern Ireland and more is soon to come. Why not let us know where you would like a store to open! Below are a few images from the opening day.

Are you a Big Brother Fan? It looks like Sophie aka Dogface was nearly sick from eating far too many sweets! Ha ha, I love the show and reading The Sun’s ‘Big Brother Rolling News Day’. I think I would go insane if I had to go into the house. It would be great to hear from bloggers that have spotted previous BB contestants in Poundland stores!

Are you a fan of the Daily Mail? If so you may have seen the article in yesterdays edition titled “Temple of Tat…Plastic Buddahs, pink fluffy gloves and crisps that look like Gary Linekers ears…all for just a pound! Welcome to the highstreets most unlikely hit!”

It was all about the bargains to be found in Poundland and although the writer wasn’t too sure what Walkers French Fries are, and didn’t think much of the Johnsons and Johnsons baby soap….here at Poundland we did notice that she had in fact filled her basket! Something that simply cannot be avoided when visiting a Poundland store!
