The Apprentice is over – I am going to have o find something else to talk to you about on a Thursday now!
I am a little surprised that Yasmina won in the end though…my money was on Kate! Click here to see the winner’s interview…
£13 was steep for a box of chocolates…not sure I could warrant spending that much. By the time you have brought the wine as well – staying in wouldn’t be that much cheaper!
• Maltesers Chocolate Box £1
• 3pk Walnut Whips £1
• Milkyway Buttons Bag £1
It’s become customary on a Thursday now to talk about the Apprentice, and I have to Say last night was one of my favourites so far.
The candidates were ripped apart and I think they were the worst job interviews I have ever seen!
In the real world, I don’t think job interviews would be anywhere near as harsh – but they are still pretty scary! As long as you are well prepared though and you have a 100% honest CV, I don’t think you can go wrong.
Here are my top 5 essentials to prepare for a job interview…
- Shine your shoes! Pick up some Kiwi Shoe Polish from Poundland at 2 for £1!
- Style your hair – girls pick up some Nicky Clarke frizz control spray, boy’s grab some hair gel for just £1!
- Freshen up – we have Gillette anti-perspirant for men and Right Guard for women – both are just £1 each!
- Take a notepad – grab yours for £1 at Poundland!
- Tidy up your CV with a document wallet - pick up a set of 3 for £1!
Total = £5!
The final is nearing! I think Kate will win, but what do you think? Let me know by sending a comment back to this blog post…

I have to say I am pretty gripped these days, but the right person definitely went.
For personality alone, I am rooting for James, but I do feel sorry for him as he is now living with 4 head strong women – who seem to spend a lot of time layering the make up on.
I don’t think it would hurt for all the Apprentice Girls to have a bit of a make over (or make under in some cases.) Lorraine in particular needs to ditch the lipstick!
There’s a few weeks to go until someone claims the £100k victory, so for now, the hopefuls must be pretty strapped for cash. No need to worry though, we have a great range of Zafi cosmetics priced at 2 for £1 – amazing value…
There’s eveything you need including pressed powder, bronzing pearls, nail varnishes, eye liners, eye shadows, lip glosses, glimmer sticks, mascara’s and eyeliners…and you can buy any 2 for £1. Amazing value!
Don’t forget to take a look at Dolly Boo’s blog for all the latest beauty tips – she is a fan of our range of Revlon make-up!

I don’t think they did a great job of re-branding Margate – I certainly won’t be going there in a hurry! However, according to The Telegraph, online travel website Expedia have reported a 90% increase in searches for destinations on the Kent coast, after the programme was aired!
I think I would find it difficult to do my main summer holiday in the UK anyway; I like to go somewhere that feels ‘foreign.’
However, there are a lot of people that just don’t have the budget to do that this year. So if you know of a ‘holiday gem’ in the UK then please let me know by commenting back to this post and I will share your recommendation with your fellow blog readers.
Wherever it is that you choose to holiday though – there are certain essentials that you shouldn’t leave without!
Stay safe in the sun with our fantastic range of sun care products and insect repellents, amazing value for just £1 each!
There’s also the suitcase dilemma (this affects women a lot more than men), where there are too many clothes and too little space!
An article in the Daily Mirror worried me slightly though – “Women ‘in denial’ over winter weight gain spend £650m on clothes that don’t fit”. Apparently we are under estimating how much we are gaining weight in the winter and then when it comes to slipping into our summer clothes they are too small!
My advice…try it on before you pack it and keep your clothing to the bare essentials!
