Firstly, I just want to send my condolences to Stephen Gately and his family and friends. What a huge and tragic shock! Stephen was a top entertainer and had many fans across the country and what a shame it is for him to die at such a young age.

I am starting to get excited about getting the house decorated for Halloween. I am thinking about being a bit creative with pumpkins this year, most year’s I leave them uncarved. However, I came across Walyou.com which has given me HUGE inspiration to carve all sorts of characters – well have a go anyway. They have pumpkins carved into Star Wars characters, Horror movie stars and randomly some geeky faces. I’ll keep you updated with how I get on.

The Daily Mail reported on Christina Aguilera taking her son Max to a Pumpkin fair in America. The USA really do go to town on Halloween, sometimes I think us Brits should make it another holiday each year too. We tend to get a bit ‘scrooge’ about the whole thing. It would be great to hear about any Halloween parties you are holding.

Make sure you enter our Halloween competition on our website where you could get the chance to win £25 worth of Poundland vouchers to spend on anything in store. It’s easy too as all you have to do is find how many bats there are in the picture and submit your answer!

Are you a Big Brother Fan? It looks like Sophie aka Dogface was nearly sick from eating far too many sweets! Ha ha, I love the show and reading The Sun’s ‘Big Brother Rolling News Day’. I think I would go insane if I had to go into the house. It would be great to hear from bloggers that have spotted previous BB contestants in Poundland stores!
