There are now over 250 Poundland stores across the UK, including 8 stores in Northern Ireland and more and more people are discovering the hundreds of top brands we have for just £1! One of t hose people is Martin Lewis, the Money Saving Expert from GMTV! He has been heading into our store and is really impressed with all our genuine bargains!  Take a look at his blog to see what he said about his recent visit.  I’m sure now he has discovered Poundland he’ll be in the store all of the time, so keep your eyes peeled for him!

Martin Lewis isn’t the only celebrity you’ll find in Poundland, you’ll regularly see the Coronation Stars opening our new stores.   Anthony Cotton who plays Sean and Jenny McAlpine who plays Fiz have opened  lots of stores this year and  have a great time meeting all the customers and playing the checkout challenge game. Andy Whyment who plays Kirk and Katherine Kelly who plays Becky are also regular celebs you’ll see opening our stores, so look out on our website for a store opening near you for your chance to meet a Corrie Star! I can’t believe its Christmas day next week! I’m not ready at all and haven’t got all my presents yet. So I’ll be popping into my local Poundland store as there are so many great gift ideas. Take a look on our website for your last minute gifts!

I also need to get my tableware and decorations for Christmas day, we have really nice table runners and charger plates that I think I’ll be buying, the table will look beautiful!

This week has been so cold! I always find the first start of winter depressing as it’s dark, wet and grim all the time. However, I am already excited about Christmas – sad I know! I’m also excited about Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland opening. These types of events keep me going through the winter months…

With winter now here, Poundland is filling up its shelves with gloves, socks, hats and scarves. Lola’s Fashion and Beauty blog always posts about new ranges and styles – Lola it would be great to hear what you think about Poundland’s winter fashions this year. Can you believe they are only £1 each?! Check out the website on some of the clothing range – I think I might have to get some of the thermal socks for the next few weeks!

Poundland also have stock left of 100 watt lightbulbs, which are perfect for dark nights. However stock is running out fast so make sure you pop in store today.

It’s only Friday and I am already excited about X Factor – wonder who will go out this weekend…

Christmas is coming around fast – it’s actually quite scary! A great blog to get you in the festive mood is That’s Christmas and more blog. Here at Poundland we are opening 3 new stores on the 8^th October in Elgin, Bedminster and Castlecourt (Belfast). If you live in these areas make sure you pop in on Saturday 10^th October for a family fun day! Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly (Becky Granger) will be opening the Bedminster store and other Corrie stars will be opening Elgin and Castlecourt. The fun days will include Poundland voucher giveaways , free batteries, DJ and entertainer and a chance to gain autographs from the Corrie stars.

Have you heard about the launch of NearLondon, a new 3D retail shopping experience of the main shopping hubs in London. It sounds amazing – Oxford, Regent and Bond streets, as well as Leicester Square and some of the back streets of the West End, will be simulated in 3D online. We will actually be able to virtually wander down streets, click into stores and browse the items for sale. And if you are a fan of seeing the Christmas lights go on, this is also going to be shown on the site. Even though I think you won’t feel the same buzz sat at a computer in your home. However, I do like the idea of shopping around London virtually, the crowds can really get to me…
